PANG APAT!

So Anjsh and I planned to go to UP Fair last week (for o'le time sake) but when we got there and saw how long the line was we both realized that it was a total waste of time getting in line with the kids. So instead we went to 55 Tinta (my favorite tattoo shop) to ask how much I need to shell out for my next tattoo design...

It was a spur of the moment. I agreed to have it done instead of prolonging the agony of waiting. 2 hours after, here's the magnificent artwork by Jhay Colis

PNE, PMC and Bulalo @ 70's Bistro

After 2 months of being the only "new" girl in Azkaban. We finally decided to have a little break from our tedious and mundane daily activities and watched Parokya ni Edgar slammed their drums and pluck their guitars. Me, not a total newbie from rock parties totally enjoyed the ear splitting sound from one of the greatest Pinoy Rock band. 

We were a bit early so we were introduced to this band. I didn't recall their names but they were really funny. Except that most of their songs are just ripped off of different pop culture songs from other rock bands. I hope they will not get in trouble for that because they are really funny.

At around 12 midnight, PNE were all set and really STARTED the night. I've watch them literally a hundred times and they really know how to rock the hell out of their audience.

It's a superb performance from Parokya ni Edgar. It reminded me why I simply adore them for more than 20 years. They're the first pinoy rock band that completely dazzled me during my growth years. I just couldn't find the right words to describe how good they are in their craft. They are just outstandingly amazing.

Chito sung two of my favorite songs; One and Only You and Sampip. It came to me as a surprise since they never really sing that songs during normal gigs. They also tried to commemorate The Master Rapper Kiko Magalona when they sung Bagsakan. It wasn't that flawless but I am sure, somewhere out there Kiko is smiling at them while throwing a ROCK ON sign.

I have enjoyed my night with the PMC group. Though there are couple of embarrassing moment that I did. (Of course, that was expected) But not to defend myself, but I think I am still at my well behaved self despite of the sheer drunkenness that shrouded me. I could have been much worst. *wink

To end the night, the Boss treat us out for a hot Bulalo near my place. We had a nice hot meal to sober us up (which is an epic fail for me). To sum it all, it's been really nice that we finally had our moment outside the Azkaban. I think this is one fun moment that I will definitely miss when I go back to where I am supposed to be. Half of me wanted to stay but the other half reminds me that I don't have a choice. It sucks but I finally get it.

The New Kid Story

So here's the thing. I started out with my new gig a couple of weeks ago. As hard as I wanted to walk away from the corporate world, that's how it goes strong in pushing me deep down until I can barely even recognize the sole purpose of being in this field. I now work for one of the biggest cellphone company in the entire Philippines. Not that we have so many options but this is pretty good. Pay is good. So far, work load is fine. People are nice in their own not so obvious ways. But what makes it really really surprising is how I manage to get into this position (without pulling any strings) that is obviously beyond my league.

Here are some points I want to stress out:

Let's start on a more shallow level. Aesthetically speaking, i don't blend well with my co-workers. You can ask anyone in my circle that I really do mind what I put on my back. I allot enough time and effort to do my hair, my make-up and my dress. But no matter how much effort I put on, still I don't look like them. To give you a picture of what I'm saying this is how the rest of the office looks like (see left picture) and this is how I dressed (see right picture). Now, i despised working on that floor. (for that matter only)

Topics of conversation; I'm single, child-less by choice and have no indication even a blink of socially accepted copulation. So most of the time, I stare blankly at my co-workers while nibbling my guts and pretending I have something to contribute with their baby topics. With that, I always failed miserably.

And lastly, I may have vast experience with Quality Management but handling one whole department is another story. I can feel the pressure on my shoulders just by looking at their hopeful eyes.  I am Capt. America and I will save them from the super-evil ISO auditors. Not that I am complaining, but that idea scares the shit out of me. Though, I learned from my past that being afraid is normal but we shouldn't let our fears overshadow our success. SO BRING IT ON! :)

Don’t get me wrong. I love working. It’s just that looking back when I was still young and still dreaming, this is not exactly what I planned my life will be. That is why I color outside the lines and do not confine myself with norms when I was growing up. I specifically wanted that kind of life where I don’t sit on my ass 9 to 14 hours a day, diddling with my keyboard. I don’t plan my life having a committed relationship with my personal computer. I want adventure, I want thrill… I want life. But instead, I am forced to swim onto the depths of technical boredom and live my life with standards, margins, rules or whatever words that can describe how strict customary procedure I am into.

Oh well, life is really changing while you are busy planning it. 

Random Updates

Ok… I’ve been busy with lots of craps that I didn’t have the time to update this blog. However, within those span of time, there were lots of things that happened. So I am going to try my best to sum it all up.

The Malaysian Adventure

So again, the BBRC gang flew all the way to the East and experienced the actual Bornean fun. We went to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia formerly known as Borneo (as told to us by our History teachers. This is where the first natives came from using the “tulay na lupa”).To make the long story short, we stayed there for four days. The food is AWESOME. The beach is MAGNIFICENT. The Sunday market is HEAVENLY. And the people are NICE.

Next stop: BAGUIO!

The New Look

Right after our plane arrived in Clarck Airport, I texted my new personal stylist Klyne to come over my house and have my hair done.

Here’s the new look. I think its fab but the sunriseshotgun and the chairman thought it was a disaster.

• I Haz DandruffZZZZ!

Recently, I’ve been suffering from a very uncomfy situation. My eyes itch like hell and dries like the Sahara. I am freaking out because it is not only affecting my work but also I am scared that one day I will wake up with nothing to see but darkness. So I went to an ophthalmologist and here’s what he said; “Your eyes has dandruff”. I thought he was joking but he was really serious. I tried to contain myself not to laugh because as much as it is totally highlarious as it sounds, it is not. It was an allergic reaction from some chemicals (e.g. make ups) that I used that causes this flakes inside my eyes. He wrote prescription drugs to cure my dandruff and when I went to the pharmacy, those medicines were freakin’ expensive. I wanted to call the doctor and asked if Nizoral or Head and Shoulders will do so I wouldn’t pay that much money for it. But I know, it’s stupid and so I have no choice.

So there goes my medications...

Christmas Wish List; It's not too early to wish...

Busted, the Island Adventure and the Shakers!!!

Busted

I’ve been keeping a huge secret from someone so close to avoid getting my ass screwed. It’s not offensive or even harmful. It’s actually a crappy feeling I have for this certain person. I’ve been keeping an eye on this person for about three months and secretly molesting him in my imagination (just kiddin’). But it never occurred to me that confessing my unfathomable desire could be an option. I’d rather keep it, burned it and buried it 12 feet under. Complicated situation is the last thing I need right now.

But as my old folks would say… Walang sikretong hindi nabubunyag. In just a 2 minute conversation, I went pale, felt dehydrated and constipated at the same time, beads running in my temples, I was shivering, I am stuttering… He caught me red-handed! I’m doomed! But I guess it wasn’t much of a big deal so things are still ok… I think so!



The Island Adventure

I never thought being trapped in a remote island could be so much fun. Though it scared the shit out of me, in the end, things were considered as BBRC’s ultimate adventure. Carlo, Ryan and I planned an out of town outing last weekend. Despite of Carlo’s lost license and star card; we drove Bogart all the way to Zambales. To make the whole story short, we landed ourselves in a remote island in Pundaqui Zambales. The commoners called that island Camara. Since there were no available rooms in the resort we decided to spend the night in the island. It didn’t occurred to us that the weather was so effin’ unpredictable so by 7pm, it started raining. The rain wasn’t just tiny droplets of bead, it was a typhoon. We don’t have a light, we don’t have enough food and we don’t know how to swim… alas! We’re screwed! Water started to enter our tent so we have no choice but to protect our things from getting wet. We manage to survive that situation till morning. So what can I say? Amazing race, Survivor and Blairwitch project all in one show!



And the Shakers

Last night was enjoyable. Since, I am hanging out with the Dell babies… everything is surprisingly spectacular. It all began when Baby Girl and I forcedly invite ourselves (again) to watch the Shakers rockin’ in Sazi’s. Since the gig will not start until 9pm and we have a lot of time to chill… I invited them to spend our idle moments in my crib. We have so much time in our hands so we decided to start the fun. Tanduay plus Coke plus lechon manok plus videoke equals uber crazy night. My head was swirling and my face was getting numb. My night ended with me pinching the Almighty Don in the ass twice and with a powerful smash in the head from Baby Girl. Sounds cool… ayt?

When she came in the first thing I thought was, hhmmmm bihis na bihis (She's wearing a baby tee, a fluffy skirt, full make-up, and you can smell her from a mile away) at tahimik. She smiled and I don't remember kung we were introduced by one of the guys all I know is that lima lang kami nun. Hannah, Gil, ako, Benny and Paeng. Tahimik, I kept thinking of a very good ice breaker so she wouldn't feel out-of-place or something. I looked at her (she was sitting beside me) said "nyar,nyar" to make her loosen up a bit

Then yung ngang nagkakape ko wala akong stirrer, so I used my G-Tec pen and said "Hannah, don't judge me for this ha"

What I found out is then are:You are a great friend, a good person, may be a little naive but a cool girl to hang out with. And a great comedian pa!

I kept thinking about this little banter we had a long time ago. I was thinking of making a blog about it two nights ago but I think it's better kung dito ko na lang muna unang sasabihin. Eto yun:

Anyways, of all the girls na umalis I think si Hannah ang pinaka-nalungkot ako. She knows it too. Hay, I miss you pa rin ng malufet. Malulungkot ako kasi aalis na rin yung isa pa jan, hmft. Things will never been the same again. And I mean it when I say, thanks :D I Love you po! Muah!
