Guilty or Not Guilty?

In every election, we are encouraged to participate and vote for the righteous leaders who can lead us towards Canaan. These politicians spend thousands of money paying advertisers and media to make themselves look good to the public. And believe it or not, people actually bought all of these candidates’ bull shits. Election here in the Philippines is like a reality show on Television. The candidate who will most likely to win must have more dramas that can win the hearts of the viewers. As for me, I am just choosing who the lesser evil is because after all they are all bad tomatoes.

My point is I am momentarily pissed at the nationwide “idiocracy” brought upon this Corona Impeachment shenanigan. I can firmly say that this trial is nothing but just a total waste of tax payers’ money. And if the presiding officers allow the prosecution to put their 100 witnesses on stand, I might as well choke myself to death. This telenovela takes longer than Judy Ann Santos’ Mara Clara and its quest to find the long lost diary. I am watching the live telecast on TV because it somehow tickles my funny bones. I love watching these idiots bashing each others like they were blessed with purity. Also, it provides me more knowledge about law and our constitution. It’s actually a love-hate obsession.

I just want to state it though… I am not really taking sides. I don’t even want to believe that the one on trial is innocent. Who cares? It’s a circus. Everyone there are all freaks—cheating freaks! What I am worried about is the state of our economy. We all know that we are sulking in poverty and the people who supposed to do something about it are trapped inside a court room playing the “I am not guilty” game.

I can handle the administration and its desire of pulling a Vendetta government for those who have sinned against him and his family but can he at least do it on his spare time. Like, I don’t know, every weekend, perhaps. Our country needs a fully functional President who can work five times a week, 8 hours a day, can do a little over time and holidays once in a while. So I can blindly say that our taxes are going somewhere good and not in a worthless wasteland (e.g. lawmakers’ pocket). But then again, what can we do? What can I do? It’s their time now so better sucked it up, expect the worst and hope for the best.

Tsk… tsk… Somewhere out there, Ninoy is weeping.
